Chris Schneider is an award-winning photographer specializing in wedding photojournalism and distinctive wedding portraiture. He creates sophisticated and timeless images, drawing on over ten years experience in fine art and photojournalism.
Chris photographs weddings both large and small, intimate or formal. He unobtrusively captures candid moments with sensitivity and vision- telling the story of your day with style and attention to detail. Chris enjoys working closely with couples, understanding that their wedding is one of the most important days of their lives. "My focus is to tell the story of the first day of a couple’s life together." Chris says. “I approach it with sensitivity and an eye for each moment. It's an honor to share in the creation of lifelong memories."
After graduating from San Francisco State University with a degree in photojournalism, Chris spent the last decade creating award-winning images as a staff photographer for respected publications, including the Rocky Mountain News and the Ventura County Star. His work has been published in The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, TIME, Photo District News and Smithsonian. His current clients include the Denver Art Museum, Denver Magazine, 5280 Magazine, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science and Associated Press. He is a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association.
Chris works and plays in Colorado, living in Denver with his wife, Kristy. He is passionate about food and loves cooking for his wife, friends and family. When he isn't shooting photos, Chris spends his time biking, hiking, and snow-boarding in the Rocky Mountains.
